Complimentary urine testing for cats and dogs 7 years and older — with any appointment in June
Why Test Urine? As pets age, subtle changes can happen long before you notice signs at home. A simple urine test screens for early kidney disease and can detect signs of UTIs or inflammation — before they become bigger problems.
Dogs
- Use a thoroughly washed and dried container — lower-sided for females, a ladle for males.
- The first wee of the day is best.
- Can’t collect at home? Leave your dog in the car and we’ll help on arrival.
Cats
- If their bladder is full enough, we can collect the sample directly at the clinic.
- Otherwise, collect at home using non-absorbent kitty litter in a clean, dry litter tray.
What to do with your sample
- Pop ~1 tablespoon into a thoroughly clean and dry jar with a secure lid.
- Keep it in the fridge and bring to your appointment — ideally the same day.
