I am a companion animal vet. I graduated in 2006 from Melbourne University and spent several years working in Australia. I moved back to NZ after having my son and have been working around Auckland since. I love doing surgery and emergency care.

Dr Sarah Baig joined Vets North in March after moving to New Zealand from the UK. Sarah worked as a small animal vet in London for 17 years before making the big move the New Zealand. Sarah enjoys all aspects of canine and feline general practice, and has a post graduate in small animal medicine. Sarah is also a keen ultrasonographer. Sarah and her husband Aiz have a young son Arkin and elderly mixed breed dog Sticky Toffee Pudding (Toffee for short!) In her spare time Sarah enjoys exploring and getting to know beautiful Aotearoa.

Olena, originally from Arizona moved to New Zealand to pursue a career as a Veterinarian. Olena graduated from Massey University in 2024 receiving her BVSc with Distinction. Olenas hard work also earned her the Massey University Scholar Award. This award acknowledges outstanding academic achievement, and is given only to the top 5% of the BVSc graduating class. Although new to the clinical setting, Olena strives to provide professional service to her clients and quality care to her patients. Outside of work Olena enjoys practicing Olympic Weightlifting techniques at the gym and spending quality time with her fiancé and their geriatric dog, Rosie.

Finn studied at Massey university and has spent the past number of years travelling and working around New Zealand and overseas. He has now moved back to New Zealand with his vet nurse partner – another employee of Vets North.

Elliot is one of our versatile vets covering both small and farm animals across all our clinics. Elliot is from the UK and qualified from the University of Bristol in 2018, before working in both farm animal and small animal practices within the Cotswolds area. In 2023, he traveled to NZ for a little working holiday adventure, which turned out to not be so little after all! Elliot is super personable and loves chatting to clients about their animals.

Aiz studied Veterinary science in Liverpool before heading around the world to work, ending up in New Zealand for quite a while and deciding this was where he wanted to end up in the future. After 20 years of working in the UK, Aiz and his wife Sarah (another VN vet) brought their young son and elderly dog to live. Aiz particularly loves ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery so is a wonderful addition to our team.

Sam graduated from Massey University in 2017 and joined the small animal team at Vets North in 2021. Sam enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, but has a particular interest in dermatology. In her spare time, Sam enjoys painting, baking, and spending time with her family.

Rebecca graduated from Edinburgh University in 2013 and spent 5 years working as a small animal vet in North Yorkshire before moving to New Zealand in 2018. She joined the Vets North team in March 2022. Rebecca enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery. She lives in Wellsford with her husband, son, dog Chutney, and cat Pickle.

Nadia graduated from Massey University and worked at various companion animal clinics in Auckland before joining the Vets North team in August 2019. Nadia enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but especially feline surgery and medicine. Nadia lives on the North Shore with her family, three cats, and a small dog. When not working, she enjoys going for bush walks, bird watching, gardening, Zumba and yoga classes, knitting, and watercolour painting.
